Toasted Tuna Sandwich


  • 8 slices sourdough bread
  • 4 - 5 ounces cans white tuna, drained
  • ¾ cup good mayonnaise, reserving 1 ½ Tbsp. to spread on bread
  • ½ cup finely chopped celery
  • 1/3 cup finely chopped red onion
  • ¼ cup Shirlie Jayne’s Parmesan Ranch salad dressing
  • 1 – 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 2 Tbsp. sweet pickle relish
  • 1 Tbsp. dill pickle (optional)
  • 1 Tbsp. Shirlie Jayne’s Savory Everyday Seasoning
  • 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil

How to Prepare

  1. In a medium bowl add tuna, flaked, celery, pickles, mayonnaise, red onions, lemon juice, Shirlie Jayne’s Parmesan Ranch salad dressing and Shirlie Jayne’s Savory Everyday Seasoning.
  2. Combine and mix well.
  3. Brush outer sides of two slices sourdough bread. Spread thin layer of mayonnaise on inner side and top with a scoop of tuna mixture, spreading to cover bread slice.  Top with another oiled slice of bread.
  4. Heat oil in large skillet. Place sandwich in hot pan on medium high heat and brown bread. When brown, flip sandwich and brown on other side until done.
